Live TV & motorsport
Besides the film and series library, the server carries 47 Slovak television channels live, and the motorsport feeds — Formula 1, F2, F3, MotoGP and F1 Academy. This page explains what you get for free, what voluntary support unlocks, and why none of it is a subscription.
Watching Live TV
Live TV is included with every account, at no cost. It is not sold, it is not a supporter perk, and it never has been.
- Open
jellyfin.karafa.netand sign in as usual. - In the main menu, choose Live TV.
- You get a channel list and a programme guide showing what is on now and next.
- Click a channel to start watching. It behaves like ordinary television — no downloading, no waiting.
Several people watching the same channel at once works fine. Several people on different channels at the same time can stutter. This is a known issue and a fix is in progress, so treat Live TV as a nice bonus rather than something to rely on for an important broadcast. The film and series library is unaffected by this.
Motorsport
The motorsport package covers Formula 1, Formula 2, Formula 3, MotoGP and F1 Academy. Unlike the general Live TV bonus, this is the one perk that is deliberately reserved for supporters — it is also the one that is kept reliable, because a race cannot be watched an hour late.
If you only care about race weekends and do not want to support on an ongoing basis, there is a one-off Race Weekend Pass. It exists precisely so that occasional viewers are not pushed into a monthly commitment.
Simultaneous streams — the one real limit
A stream means one thing playing at one moment. Being signed in on five devices costs nothing; playing video on two of them at the same time is two streams. A free account gets one, so if a film is already running in the living room, a second device will not start playing until it finishes — the one already playing is never interrupted. That limit exists because every stream costs real bandwidth and processing power on one machine.
| Tier | Support | Streams | Motorsport |

| Motorsport Supporter | €3.50 / month | 3 | Yes |

| Max Supporter | €9 / month | 8 | Yes, plus priority transcoding |
Add-ons and passes

| Motorsport only | €1.50 / month | All the racing, no extra stream. |
| Race Weekend Pass | €1 / weekend | Motorsport for one weekend. No ongoing commitment. |

| Annual discount | 10 months for 12 | About 17% off any monthly tier, paid yearly upfront. |
This is voluntary support for a small private server, not a commercial service. There is no contract, no guaranteed service level, and nothing is taken automatically — you send money when you feel like it and stop whenever you like. Nobody is chased for payment, and a free account is a perfectly normal way to use Karafa.net.
How to support, if you want to
- Open the support page — bank details, Revolut, PayPal and Bitcoin are all listed there.
- Send whichever amount matches the tier or pass you want.
- Put your Jellyfin username in the payment description. Slovak banks show the sender's name anyway, so it is not strictly required — it just means your account is upgraded much faster.
- If anything is unclear or does not get applied, open a ticket at the help desk.
Common questions
Do I lose the library if I never support?
No, never. Movies, shows, requests and Live TV are free on every account permanently. Support only affects how many things can play at the same time, and whether motorsport is included.
What happens if I stop supporting?
Your account carries on exactly as before, just back at the free stream limit and without motorsport. Nothing is deleted, nothing is locked, and you are not asked about it.
Why will nothing start playing for me?
Somebody else using the same account is already watching. On a free account that is one stream shared by everyone. Their playback is not interrupted and you are not signed out — yours simply will not start until they finish. Either wait, or add a stream via the support page.
Live TV keeps stuttering. Is it broken?
Probably not broken — if two people are on different channels at once, stuttering is the known limitation described above. If you are the only viewer and it still stutters, that is worth reporting, so open a ticket.
